Flats fishing: Bonefishing and Permit fishing have been very good when the wind and tide are favorable. Back in the Everglades we have had a solid Snook bite, and a a lot of small Redfish. This is good to see because it’s a sign of good things to come in the months ahead.
Backcountry: Sea Trout, Snook and Redfish in the channels and Triple tail. As always Snappers, Sharks on light tackle is no problem. When the cold fronts come though we will be fishing the shallow water patch reefs for Hogfish, Yellowtail snapper and more.
Gulf fishing: The Mackerel run is in full swing. Cooler waters really turn these fish on. This is also a great trip for kids because there is lots of action.
Don’t forget that now is the time to book your slot for the spring Tarpon season. We fish every day, so book early.
Well that’s what’s going on.
